Deft is free
The editor, LaTeX, PDF export, all of it. Windows, macOS and Linux. No account, no trial, and no paid version waiting behind an upgrade button.
Deft Sync is the one paid add-on
End-to-end encrypted sync for your whole vault, on every computer you use. Deft stays free whether you take it or not. How it works
Free while Sync is in beta
We don't charge anything or ask for a payment method, and you get the same limits as a paid plan. The prices below start when the beta ends, and we'll tell you well before then.
Monthly
€4
per month
Yearly
€36
per year, three months free
Prices in euros. Not charged during the beta. Orders are handled by Paddle, our reseller and merchant of record. See the terms.
Both plans include:
- 1 GB of end-to-end encrypted storage
- Files up to 100 MB
- No device limit
- 30-day version history in its own 1 GB
- Cancel any time from your account
Cancel and sync keeps working until the end of the period you paid for, then turns read-only. Your files stay where they are and Deft keeps editing them.
Free trial
There's no trial during the beta because Sync is already free. At launch, a first subscription starts with 14 days free. You add a payment method at signup so sync doesn't stop when the trial ends. You aren't charged before that day, and cancelling before it costs nothing. If you're charged and change your mind, see the refund policy.
Getting started
Create an account or open Settings › Sync in the app and click Set Up.
Sync is rolling out gradually. If Settings doesn't show it yet, email support@usedeft.com.
